Some put me through the w ringer, others had me floating on cloud 9 and some were downright dreadful. Over the past couple of months, I have read a number of reverse harems. I have officially jumped onto the bandwagon. The entire idea of being with multiple people at once seemed odd…until I read a few reverse harem books. One girl, multiple guys and a relationship that will leave you wondering “how?” Yes, that was one of the common thoughts that went through my mind when I first began reading reverse harem. Supernatural, Sci-Fi, Modern, Fantasy, Historical, anything is fine. I can overlook some of these traits, but overall I prefer more sweet, kind, gentle souls who have a lot to offer in their personality, potential, attentiveness, and dedication and aren't just a cover model. I don't really get into alpha hunk MMCs, I don't care for the super tall bodies or chiseled physiques, or brooding hyper-masculine attitudes. I'm also not asking for stories where the FMC does beat up the MMC, just ones where she is more than capable of it. I'm fine with any sort of sub-genre for the most part as long as it's not too dark or horrible. If I could read a story about a 6'~ tall muscle-girl kicking ass and protecting her man from danger, I would literally swoon for days.
I adore strong women, both in a personality sense and a physical sense.
Like I'm not asking for beta simp sissy males or anything, but just once I want to read a story where the FMC is the #1 bad-ass.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when a story has a powerful, strong, or highly skilled heroine, she almost inevitably ends up with a guy who is more powerful, stronger than her, and more highly skilled and it just kinda ruins the vibe for me.
